Meet our new Key Account Manager Magnus Dovenstam

Our new Key Account Manager, Magnus Dovenstam, shares his initial impressions and role at LEKAB. In the interview, he also discusses his past experiences and motivation within sales.

👋 How has your first time at LEKAB been, and tell us more about your role as Key Account Manager?

– It has been really interesting and inspiring. A lot of new information and superb colleagues, to my enjoyment. You never know who your new colleagues are until a couple of weeks in, and I'm glad to say that my new colleagues are the best! They are fun, helpful and professional – the best of both worlds.

My role as a key account manager is to help existing customers expand, nurture, and develop new areas of usage. I want to be their go-to guy when it comes to effective communication. Besides being a superhero for my existing customers, I also look at new businesses in my wide range of networks, both in the Nordic region and Europe, but I focus on Sweden.

💼 Tell us about your past work experiences. What did you do before you began working for us?

My previous roles as KAM have included a lot of focus on public tenders as well as business with other aggregators who want to enter the Nordic market. Focus has also been on working with SMEs and large and public companies. So, I have been doing a little bit of everything regarding high-end customers that have had a crucial impact on the companies I have been working at.

🎯 What motivates you the most at work?

– The customer, always the customer and the needs of the customer. I'm a problem solver and love finding new and better solutions for my customers. The best feeling is knowing you have helped your customer, having succeeded in my goals and helped the company to exceed its goals.

🎾 What do you like to do in your spare time?

– I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. At the moment I play a lot of tennis during the week. In the summer I spend a lot of time at sea by boat, and on the other side of the year, I like to go skiing.
